GlareAid transmits 77.3% of visible light — a Category 1 lens that clears the 75% minimum EN ISO 12312-1 sets for twilight and night driving, and passes ANSI Z80.3, including recognition of red, amber and green traffic signals. It filters 77.5% of blue light across 380–500nm and blocks UV to 400nm. Independently lab-tested by Micro-Light Optics, September 2026.
What it is, and isn't. GlareAid is cleared to drive in, day or night. No tinted lens improves night vision: any tint, this one included, lets less light reach your eyes, and a 2019 study in JAMA Ophthalmology found yellow night-driving lenses did not help drivers spot pedestrians sooner. If headlight glare troubles you, see an optometrist.
GlareAid does not meet AS/NZS 1067.1 (Q-Blue 0.67 against a 0.70 requirement) and is not certified for driving in Australia or New Zealand.
